Now it's November, a time for giving thanks to everyone.
A special thanks to all our wonderful chaperones on our great field trip.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered at the Harvest Fest.
A big thanks to everyone who donated to our fun General Store, and a
big shout out for our Cashiers!
Thanks for a perfect attendance on the 40th Day.
Also thanks for many perfect attendance days, we have already had two
popcorn parties for spelling ATTENDANCE twice!
THANK YOU - FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!!
Our Insect Unit is over. But our collection of insects will be around until
Christmas, so if you have some time, come check it out.
We have started our fun unit on Dinosaurs. This will end in January
with Dinosaur Day. On that day, every child will 'become their Dinosaur"
and share a report that tells us about the dinosaur they have chosen.
I encourage trying to take a creative approach to this. More information
will be forthcoming.
No school Thursday, November 11th for Memorial Day.
No school November 24th, 25th and 26th for Thanksgiving.
Try to come to Skate Country on Tuesday, November 16th. It's a lot of fun,
good excercise, and we could win a Pizza Party if we get the best turn out.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Ms. Judy

October is off and running.
Our class is finishing up our Insect unit. It's been lots of fun gathering and learning about our insect collection. We have a few very rare species. Come check it out.
Report Cards will be distributed on Oct. 13th. This is a half day, no lunch or after-school care.
Our Field Trip is October 19th.
We are going back in time to learn the history of Tucson. We will start, just like Tucson started, at the San Xavier Mission (the White Dove of the Desert)
We will proceed to Ms Judy's house for a picnic lunch in her yard and a Nature Walk in the Tucson Mountain's desert.
We will then go downtown to the Train Museum.
Last, we will stop at the Rodeo Museum before heading back to school.
All parents are invited to chaperone. Pack a lunch, wear comfortable shoes, and long pants.
Our General Store is October 22nd. Students will get to spend their hard-earned $.03 per day
allowance for good behavior. Most students have over a dollar.
We need merchandise! Please provide a new toy, or clean out your closets and toy chests and donate something slightly used. These Excellent Students deserve rewarding!
The Harvest Festival is October 29th. We need candy for prizes. Also, please volunteer to work for half-an-hour in our bean bag booth.
Many thanks!

Sept. 10
Hello everyone,
This year is up and running.
This class of 27 students is great!
We are studying a fun unit, "Insects". We are collecting 'dead' specimens.
We already have quite a collection. Come check it out!
We will have our first field trip on Oct. 19th. We will be going back in time
to the very beginnings of Tucson. We will visit the San Xavier Mission, the
Train Museum and either the Rodeo Museum or take a ride on the Trolley.
It will be paid for with Dress Down money.
Progress Reports went out on Sept. 9th. Please sign and return if you have
not done so already. If you have any questions call me at 578-7992.
---Difficult things take a long time.
The impossible takes a little longer.---Unknown
